Facebook Post: The Facebook posts would be longer because the website allows you to type more and the news feed on Facebook tends to be more in depth than other social media websites. Facebook is a good way to get stories into the hands of the reader because of how the website algorithm identifies what would be interesting to other people.
The first post I would talk about the differences in shots and who controlled the first period of the game between the offense and defense. In the first period the Boston Bruins took 14 shots while the Tampa Bay Lightening took 5. I would also include the stats from the first half or a link leading to the stats.
The second post would be about all the penalties and fights that occurred during the game between players. There was one brawl that was between all ten players and there was at least two fights a period. I would include a picture of the pile up and a short video of the fight.
The third post would be about how the Tampa Bay Lightening’s coach got ejected from the game and say what led him to getting that upset to be ejected. I would also include a picture of the coach so the audience could see his face and how upset he was.
Twitter: I would use for quick live updates because you are limited on how much you can write and people on twitter are usually on their phone just scrolling. Many sports fans look on twitter for quick updates on what is going on in the game.
The first tweet would be an update on how the Bruins are trailing the Lightening 0-2 at the end of the first period and mention who made the two goals for the Lightening.
The second tweet would be how the lightening are up 0-3 in the second period but the Bruins answer by scoring 2 goals making it a one score game. I would include a gif of one of the Bruins players that scored the goal.
The third tweet would be how the final score ends up being 3-5 with the Lightening holding onto the lead and their 5th goal was scored on an open net.
Snapchat: I would use to post videos of what is going on in the game with a small caption on the video to explain what is happening. Snapchat is good to show exciting parts of the game and can have it where the viewer can swipe up and get the full story.
The first snap I would do would be a video of the fight where it was a Bruins player and Lightening player who dropped their gloves and started fighting in the middle of the ice. I would include a caption of who the players were in the fight.
The second snap would be the replay of the second goal the Bruins made with a caption on how the call got reversed to count as a goal making the score 2-3 Lightening
The third snap would be a video of the crowds reaction when the refs reversed the call of the Bruins goal. The audience could see the excitement of the crowd and I would include a caption saying how the fans went crazy when the call was reversed.
Instagram: I would post a picture or video with a caption because much of Instagram is pictures and sometimes videos. I would do a short caption since Instagram is used on mobile devices. Instagram is a good way to reach the younger population and since it is on the phone I can post a picture I took on my phone from the game.
The first post would be a picture of the Bruins game with a caption that they are playing Tampa Bay Lightening and that the Bruins won the last match up.
The second post would be a video of the Lightening’s goalie making a save and have a second picture with the stats on how many goals he saved. I would put in the caption who the is video of and too swipe to see his stats.
The third post would be a picture of Chara holding one of the Lightening players against the boards and then put in the caption how he grabbed the guy’s stick and threw it up in the air.
